Castlecove Residence

The Decoroom team fell in love with this home that was featured in House and Garden in 1971. This Spanish revival project had lots of strong existing elements that we worked with and enhanced with pure decorating. This home was renovated to a current style with vanilla travertine selected by Decoroom and Murobond paint colours to a warm yet fresh feel both inside and out. Existing wrought iron re-painted and home re-carpeted with current plush pile carpet.

Decoroom worked on this project from the ground up. The rustic linen curtains made by Decoroom in our workroom with poles taken high to the wonderful 3800mm ceilings with exposed rafters. The lighting sourced from European suppliers to best suit the home and to replace the originals. Each bedroom has specially designed and manufactured furniture built by Decoroom and includes custom made bedspreads, cushions using amazing fabric and wallpaper collections from European designers.

The art and framing were all selected by Decoroom to mix that old with new. Spanish contemporary artists were a big influence in our selections. The entrance, dining and family rooms were all designed with beautiful rugs, sofas, armchairs, accessories and mirrors to add to the charm. The clients were a delight to work with, as they enjoyed this wonderful journey of reinstating the home.
